Blank Stage is the result of two filmmakers stumbling into the world of theater. Our company is built on a passion for breathing life into the worlds of your imagination. Our professionals are experienced in all aspects of set construction and scenic design as well as set decoration and prop fabrication. Ethan (Co-Owner)
Ethan is a house manager and set builder at a local Performing Arts Center. Coming up in the film industry in the southwest, the eventual transition to theatrical productions felt natural and exciting. Since then Ethan has been designing and constructing set pieces here in Madison, Wisconsin for countless productions both on stage and for the camera. He’s easy to find, just follow the sound of loud music and power tools.
Heather (Co-Owner)
Heather grew up in Northern California and worked for eight years in LA in the film industry. She has spent her career building and decorating sets for countless productions before working on Hulu’s original series “Battleground” in 2011, filming in Wisconsin. After wrapping the show she decided to leave LA and move to Madison, Wisconsin while still returning to LA for various projects every so often. She has continued her film work as well as prop fabrication and theatrical productions. Heather is happiest staying busy with something creative, generally found covered in paint or fabric.
